Kaksi Suomen kirkkainta jazztähteä, saksofonisti Timo Lassy ja rumpali Teppo Mäkynen nousevat G Livelabin lavalle tuoreella duo-kokoonpanollaan, jonka skaala ulottuu spiritual jazzin kanssa flirttailevasta vapaasta improvisaatiosta herkullisen tiukkoihin groovepaloihin. We Jazz -levymerkin viime kesänä julkaisema albumi esitteli ehjän kokonaisuuden, joka nojaa kaksikon vahvaan yhteissoittoon ja Teppo "Teddy Rok" Mäkysen tuotantovisioon. The Five Corners Quintetin ja Teddy Rok Sevenin ajoista lähtien yhdessä soittaneet ystävykset liikkuvat duona uusiin suuntiin, jossa elektronisen musiikin värisävyt häivähtävät akustisen jazzduon käsittelyssä.

The concert of Timo Lassy and Teppo Mäkynen on 18 February 2021 will have to be divided into three separate concerts due to capacity restrictions, the first of which will start at 6 pm, the second at 7:15 pm and the third at 8:30 pm. G Livelab Tampere and Tiketti are in contact with all ticket holders about the situation. In case of problems, please contact: [email protected]

As far as the term "award-winning" goes, here we have two of the latest "Finnish jazz album of the year" winners joining forces and doing what they do best. The duo of saxophonist Timo Lassy and drummer Teppo Mäkynen visits G Livelab in April to present tunes from their debut album released by We Jazz Records (2019). Expect sounds from spiritual-tinged free playing all the way to delicious groove hard-hitters.
If the event is not sold out, there will be student tickets available at the door for 20 € each (student tickets not sold online). Door ticket sales will begin at 6 pm on the day of the show.
Under 18-year-old music lovers are welcome to G Livelab Tampere shows with an adult. Children under school age can enter gigs free of charge, for others tickets are priced normal.
