Pohjoismaisen jazzin legendat saksofonisti Juhani Aaltonen ja basisti Arild Andersen soittivat viimeksi yhdessä 1976-80 Andersenin kvartetissa, joka julkaisi kaksi hienoa ECM-albumia Shimri ja Green Shading Into Blue. Mestarit kohtaavat nyt lähes 40 vuoden jälkeen esittääkseen pääasiassa uudempaa tuotantoaan. Trion täydentää nuoren polven rumpali Ilmari Heikinheimo, joka tunnetaan suomalaisen vapaan jazzin ja Edward Vesalan perinnön soihdunkantajana ja edistäjänä.

Mikäli tapahtuma ei ole loppuunmyyty, keikalle myydään opiskelijalippuja ovelta hintaan 15 € / kpl. Ovilipunmyynti aloitetaan keikkapäivänä klo 20.

Alaikäiset musiikin ystävät ovat tervetulleita seuraamaan G Livelabin keikkoja aikuisen seurassa. Alle kouluikäiset pääsevät keikoille maksutta, muille liput ovat normaalihintaisia.

Legends of Nordic jazz, sax man Juhani Aaltonen and bassist Arild Andersen play together for the first time in nearly 40 years. The maestros perform mostly new music, but we might also hear a few treats from the old days. The trio is completed by emerging drummer Ilmari Heikinheimo, who continues to advance the Finnish free jazz legacy and musical language first heard on record on the classic album Nana (1970) featuring Aaltonen, Andersen and Edward Vesala.

If the event is not sold out, there will be student tickets available at the door for 15 € each (student tickets not sold online). Door ticket sales will begin at 8 pm on the day of the show.

Under 18-year-old music lovers are welcome to G Livelab Tampere shows with an adult. Children under school age can enter gigs free of charge, for others tickets are priced normal.
