Helsinkiläisen The Holyn ainutlaatuisessa rock-soundissa kuuluu kaikuja niin pohjoismaisesta melankoliasta, post-punkista, kraut-rockista kuin Bruce Springsteenin musiikillisesta perinteestäkin. Kriitikoiden ja fanien rakastama kokoonpano ihastuttaa erityisesti livenä kahden rumpalin kombolla ja kirskuvien kitaroiden muodostamilla, hypnoottisilla äänivalleilla. The Holy julkaisi syksyllä 2020 toisen kokopitkänsä Mono Freedom, joka on saanut inspiraationsa Alan Weismanin tietokirjasta The World Without Us.
Nordic melancholy, highly explosive live shows andthe unusual band formation that includes two drummers, who keep the pulse high at all times. That's The Holy in a nutshell. The Helsinki-based alternative rock band has been shaking the grounds of the Nordic music scene since the release of their debut EP in 2016, and their sophomore album "Mono Freedom" was released in 2020 by Playground Music. Mixing influences from post-punk and krautrock to Bruce Springsteen and Peter Gabriel, The Holy has been wowing audiences around Europe and in Finland, performing live at Flow Festival, Ruisrock, Provinssirock, as well as at Eurosonic 2019, Iceland Airwaves 2019 and Reeperbahn Festival, just to mention but a few. In August, The Holy returns to G Livelab Helsinki to present a hypnotic live show like no other.
