The Chicago-based trumpeter Marquis Hill is one of the leading voices in the contemporary jazz scene. The 2014 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition winner builds upon his distinctive sound to craft arresting originals that embrace post-bop, hiphop, R&B and spoken word.
